The artist’s works touch upon the issue of the picture and the object in the context of their self-destruction. His formal minimalism is an important element here – using it, the author creates a disturbing atmosphere of his works.

One-Person Group Therapy

Group therapy is a form of treatment through contact with a number of people suffering from a similar or identical type of ailment. The treatment is carried out in self-help groups, also known as therapeutic communities. It is most common in addiction therapies. The best-known therapy group is Alcoholics Anonymous (AA, Al-Anon). Monar also follows this method.

This is a project within the Competition, in which artists who have not been nominated are invited to co-operate. It concentrates on featuring, the phenomenon of guest collaboration – common e.g. in rap music and group therapies – and based on the idea of work/treatment through contact with a number of people sharing similar or identical types of features.
