Eugeniusz Geppert Competition and National Exhibition of Young Painters has for 15 years been one of the most important features of the young painting in Poland. Since its foundation in 1989, the aim of the competition is promoting of new trends in painting and presentation of the most interesting emerging artists on this field. The competition is organized by the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw and BWA Wroclaw - Galleries of Contemporary Art. The entry is limited to 24 artists invited by a group of curators from the major Polish art galleries, which this year includes:

Jolanta Ciesielska, Critic, Art Historian, Exhibitions Curator, lives and works in ŁódŸ
Karolina Grabowicz, Curator of contemporary art exhibitions, works in CSW Łaznia, Gdańsk
Mariusz Jodko, Director of Entropia Gallery, Wrocław
Marek Krajewski, Art Socjologist, from 1998 until 2003 Curator of the "Galeria zewnętrzna AMS" {AMS Outside Gallery}, works at the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań
Agata Smalcerz, Art Historian, Exhibitions Curator, Director of the Bielska Gallery, Bielsko Biała
Magdalena Ujma, Art Historian, Curator of the Bunkier Sztuki Gallery, Cracov
Hanna Wróblewska, Art Historian, Vice Director of Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw
Tomasz Zawadzki, Professor of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin
